Carlspeak
If that clown expects to sell those for 10 grand, he'd better do a better photo job. TERRIBLE!!!

JKent
Attention K-Mart shoppers! See the Blue-Light Special! Price reduced to $7,500!(wonder if he'd take about 10% of that amount)
Tom H.
The part about Bob Thompson being the president of AR back in the 80's. Is that B.S. or not? They do look pretty well constructed though.
stan461
I hope this guy's surgery went well and he lives a long and healthy life. The recent surge in prices for AR speakers is not a mystery to me.I went thru a lot of vintage speakers before I came upon the AR3a and it's magic.Yeah I know it's not magic but when everything is right, I'm in the best seat in the concert hall.Of course, even a discounted price of $7500 is ridiculous. Then again, no one has a gun to anyone's head. Anthropologo
Are they really AR-3a? The drivers look correct, but the configuration is wrong (does a vertical model exist?) and the whole removeable screen/frame looks odd as well. RoyC
Are they really AR-3a? The drivers look correct, but the configuration is wrong (does a vertical model exist?) and the whole removeable screen/frame looks odd as well. They are not really "AR-3a's". They appear to be a pair of project speakers using later AR parts. There was never a 3a with vertical drivers, the tweeters are the later AR-11 type, and the mids and woofers are later Tonegen replacements. Who knows what the crossovers look like. They are worth what the drivers would fetch...probably a few hundred dollars. He will have trouble selling them for $700, much less $7500.
