redpackman
Picked up AR3 pair today. All looks good but one tweeter has "popped" its suspension. I'm either going to get it repaired or find a replacement. Looking for a genuine original so I can keep it a true AR3. If anyone has one they'd like to sell for a reasonable price, get back to me. Thanks.
Dan Skye
The speakers are notorious for losing signal at the crossovers in the back you can apply a battery voltage to the tweeter on the front and see if it makes it pop only do this for a second .Also the thin wires coming out of the tweeters are in sanely delicate and hard to connect to just a heads up I highly recommend you connect with Vintage AR they are the best They are located in upstate New York I think they are really really good and honest. They have a lot of listings on eBay

I was under the impression that his expertise was only with the later 3/4" dome tweeter of AR-3a, AR-5, AR-2ax (later), and the LST models.
