canman
Ok, I finally have had some time to listen to these and one speaker is really nice and other needs work. Not a lot of volume and very little sound from mids or highs. I am diving in here with everyone's help. Currently soaking pots in vinegar/salt solution to see if this helps in any way. I will be ordering caps and cabinet putty. More to come in next few days.
GD70
You're off to a good start. Lots of fun removing that woofer right?! Post pics of the pots after you cleaned them up. If the disks are pit free, and the pot wipers are solid without holes, they should be fine.
DavidDru
Also, look for the date stamp on the inside of the cabinets side. Denny was probably in there. All too familiar. Like Glenn says. Pots and caps. Mostly pots by this time. Caps may or may not be bad but still worth replacement now.
