Pete B
Thanks, that's it! Do you happen to know if the mid and tweeter pots were all the way up?

Both controls at or near maximum. These were my AR-3as that were tested at AR by Bill Bush and KK before being sent to Julian Hirsch for the initial test of the AR-303 by Hirsch-Houck Labs. Pete B
Thanks Tom, assuming that the mid was all the way up, then using 1 KHz as a reference dropping it about 7 dB would bring it very close to the AR-303. Also, interesting to note that My preference listening to the AR-11 was -6 dB on the mid which agrees with that curve and whatever the designers did on the 303. Assuming the AR-11 is very close to the 3a of course.
Pete B
Does anyone have AR-3a Technical Data Sheet #L-1621 that they can post? I had it probably 10 years ago on a computer that hasn't been booted in 5 - 10 years.
genek
Is this what you're looking for? It doesn't have a # on it, but is titled "Technical Data." AR-3a Technical Data.pdf
