jimkarl
Picked these up an an auction. Definitely look sixties or early seventies. No marking of any kind on them. They are identical on all 4 sides. Speaker wire is attached through a hole in the bottom. RCA plugs on the ends. About 16" tall, 8" wide and deep. Anyone? dxho
Looks vaguely Zenith. Can you pull any drivers?
jimkarl
It looks like it's a Philco driver. There is also a (illegible) stamp on the bottom, as well as a hand scratched number. The same number is on both cabinets. My inclination was that this was someone's personal info (e.g. social security, driver license etc as many did back in the day, but the numbers do seem to be matching any common usage. Also, on one cab, the numbers are under the bracket. that leads me to believe they were written before the bracket was installed.
JKent
here are some. No brand name though. The cone reminds me of Zenith omnidirectional speakers https://www.etsy.com/listing/174011571/pair-of-mid-century-modern?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=mid century speakers&ref=sc_gallery_4&plkey=bb48a1f3f8b2bb2ad50f756d5620084e52e1bdb4:174011571 Here's a pair with logos (scroll down to almost the bottom of the page). Identified as Philco and although the logos are on there, they're not clear enough to read http://www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?51998_6
