trask
Hello -- I own an original "AU" Acoustic Research amplifier, and am looking for the accessory wooden case that was made to house the amp. These were relatively inexpensive back in 1968, but it seems that many people didn't buy them despite the reasonable price -- so my amp came without one. If anyone has an original for sale, I'd appreciate an email at plaubel67w@gmail.com Or here in the CSP. Thanks.
JKent
That case was nothing special. At one time I bought 2 AR amps--one just for the case. Your best bet might be to have a cabinet maker build one from photos and measurements.Another possibility: A couple of years ago I bought an AR tuner to match my AR amp (have since sold both). It was purchased from ebay seller "Vintage AR" and had a reproduction cabinet. Very nice. You might try contacting Larry at Vintage AR and ask if he has repro cabinets for the amp.Kent
