AR-18 Speakers

Actually, the AR-18, AR-18s & AR-18B are somewhat different in appearance but are basically the same speaker.  Correction - the AR-18J is identical to the original AR-18.  They all have 8" paper cone woofers & 1.25" cone tweeters.

The AR18 was introduced in 1977.  It had a foam grille and a walnut grain, vinyl clad cabinet (16.5x9.625x6.25).  It also had a high-level switch to boost/cut the tweeter.

The AR-18s was introduced in 1981.  It had a cloth grille and a walnut grain, vinyl clad cabinet (16.5x9.635x6.5).  No controls were provided.

The AR-18B was introduced in 1983. It had a cloth grille and a walnut grain, vinyl clad cabinet (17x10.5x6.25).  No controls were provided.

Below is a picture of an AR-28B and an AR-17.  The AR-18B & AR-18 closely resemble them.
