  1. Hi Jeff, soon after Kutztown, I ordered an old tweeter from eBay (from Hawaii) just installed it today with new crossover cap. SWEET sound. I can see why AR 4xs get rave reviews. So now I need another tweeter and, of course, there's 2 on eBay now:

What to do?....lol......I guess keep looking for another single!

I'd like to see a picture of the 4x's when they're finished. Are you going to re-oil the cabinets?

The guy selling the KLH speaker was certainly asking a fair price, maybe he'll offer up some other interesting stuff in the future. About a year ago, a local seller offered a KLH 20 stereo system without speakers for $25 and I bought it just to get the knobs. They're the same knobs used on the KLH 21 radios, and come in handy if I come across a unit needing restoration (I've done two so far). I like the look of the KLH radios (8 and 21) but have resisted going any deeper into KLH collecting at this point (my AR collection keeps growing so I don't know where I'd put the stuff!).

Speaking of KLH, and maybe you saw this on AK, last year member RxDx bought a KLH Model One speaker (serial #002!) on ebay for ~$400 (if memory serves). If I had found that 'out in the wild', I would have made room.
