RobHolt
To go with my recently rebuilt AR4xa I decided to work on this old receiver, picked up a few years ago and put on the back burner. It worked but had a noisy tuning action, blown dial lamps, would lose a channel intermittently (bad relay and switches) and it's dc and bias setting had drifted off.So I stripped the oil girl down and did a thorough rebuild. All electros, some resistors etc, new bulbs, thorough electrical clean and reset of internal pots. Now sounds wonderful. All controls beautifully quiet, and the audio is clean and sweet. These things look so nice 737 bias adjust Restored Pioneer 737 Restored Pioneer

saxmanjack
Looks great! Already mentioned my speakers (AR-11's) in my first post, but some of the rest of my system is '70's Pioneer: SA-9500II amp and TX-8500II tuner. Dubbed plenty of friends' vinyl to tape with my CTF-1000; don't know what use that monster is now...
DavidDru
The 737 looks great. Got one looks just like it. Just picked up it's little brother 636 this past weekend sitting in the back corner of a garage sale about to be discarded because a previous buyer said it was all scratchy sounding etc when he tried it.I need to learn about checking setting bias.
