Tom in RI
I recently picked up a pair of KLH Twenty Three's. I am speaking to someone who has Seventeens about making new masonite frames for the grills, he believes that the 17's masonite frame can be a template for the 23. Anyone here know if that is accurate? Thanks in advance for your help.
JKent
I doubt it. The tweeter on the 17 is centered while the 23 has it off to the side. KLH grilles (unlike AR) tended to have round cutouts over the drivers--they're not just frames. And the cabinets look different. Why not just measure? Here's the Twenty-Three: http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/library/klh/klh_23_klh_model_twenty-three/klh_23_photos/klh_23_without_grills.html#previous-photoHere's the Seventeen: http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/library/klh/klh_17_klh_model_seventeen/klh_17_photos/klh_17_without_grills.htmlKent
