j300m
Looking for some advice. Have a pair of AR 91speakers and want to use a receiver to power them. Any suggestions?
ar_pro
Are you interested in using a vintage receiver, or a current model?
j300m
I think that a vintage receiver would drive the speakers better. I am open to any and all suggestions.

HarryM
I run mine with either a Marantz 2252b or if I want that little bit more I add a hafler dh200. Both ways sound very good and they easily handle the dh200 to the point your ears can't handle it.I do find the 91's prefer vinyl over cd and so does the Marantz.I've also found useing a more modern kenwood basic c1 preamp instead of the Marantz with the dh200 does not sound as nice.
