Pete B Posted February 3, 2012 Report Share Posted February 3, 2012 You can, it is just much more efficient for it to be fabricated as a non-polar cap since the common electrode can be a single plate.Also, these are typically power supply caps that often have a very wide tolerance, no reason you couldn't hand match them or try to find 10% parts.These days you'd probably want to look for "snap-in" style caps since the typical computer grade caps have gotten very expensive.
