elittle
I can't find any information about these online, does anyone know if they are a knock off or real AR speakers? The 10" woofer appears to be made of some kind of transparent material. They are about 3 feet tall and weigh like 50 pounds each, they appear to be pretty solidly built. Thanks for any help! elittle
Through more research I found that I've acquired a pair of epic white van speakers... at least they were free I guess. :/
JKent
Interesting. I had never heard of white van speakers but I guess you saw this:http://www.sound-thinking.org/index.php?showtopic=4914One poster says these can blow up your amp! I'd junk them.A bit more on the "white van scam":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_van_speaker_scamYou were smart to inquire here and do your research. Let us know when you score some real ARs Kent
Whitecaps18
NOT a Acoustic Research product......I've seen these before....a rip off!AR did not use "ported" enclosures until the STC-660 which I own and has 2 acoustic suspension satellite cabinets and a ported sub enclosure then the "HO" series in the 80's.
