Replacing LST-2 electrolytic caps

Has anyone replaced the stock electrolytic caps in the LST-2? The stock values are 12uf, 60uf, 72uf, and 1000uf, all rated at 50VDC. I cannot locate any source for the 12uf and 60uf values. The closest to the 72uf I can find is 75uf. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi

You can go +/- 10% on caps--no problem. So the 75uF is fine. For the 12 and 60 you could parallel a 10+2 and a 50+10.

Don't know what specific caps you are looking at. A lot of guys use Daytons and they do come in 12 and 60

Don't try to get 50VDC. The higher the voltage the better. You can use film caps for the 12, 60 and 75. You'll need non-polarized electrolytics for the 1000--maybe two 500s in parallel:

Of course you can also use electrolytics for the other values.

Good luck
