rgurney
Has anyone replaced the stock electrolytic caps in the LST-2? The stock values are 12uf, 60uf, 72uf, and 1000uf, all rated at 50VDC. I cannot locate any source for the 12uf and 60uf values. The closest to the 72uf I can find is 75uf. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks.HiYou can go +/- 10% on caps--no problem. So the 75uF is fine. For the 12 and 60 you could parallel a 10+2 and a 50+10.Don't know what specific caps you are looking at. A lot of guys use Daytons and they do come in 12 and 60http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-metall...-capacitors.cfmDon't try to get 50VDC. The higher the voltage the better. You can use film caps for the 12, 60 and 75. You'll need non-polarized electrolytics for the 1000--maybe two 500s in parallel:http://www.parts-express.com/dayton-metall...-capacitors.cfmOf course you can also use electrolytics for the other values.Good luckKent
