Guest jolyon
I was disappointed to find that my British made AR5s use veneered chipboard for the sides top and bottom of the enclosure whereas the baffles are un-veneered. The only reason for this can be cost. I can't think of any sonic advantages at all.So, I'm thinking I'll make new enclosures. What was used originally; Birch ply or Marine ply ?Yours,J. Later models changed to medium density particle board, which is denser and sonically less resonant than plywood.
