mhardy6647
I did search this (sub)forum, but wasn't having much luck. I am pleased enough with the roadside AR4x I mentioned in another thread to be considering a cosmetic refresh as well. They're not in bad condition at all, even the grilles -- but the temptation to make them look "like new" is (to my surprise!) tugging at me. You all must have favored modern sources for a fabric to approximate the appearance (and, ideally, also the "acoustic transparency") of the original grilles. Suggestions for specific materials and vendor(s) are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
JKent
See the AR-3a restoration guide. Same for the 4x: 18 count linen in lambswool color from 123-Stitch
mhardy6647
Thanks. Of course, I found the info on this site when I used a google search (after I posted)! Sorry about that.
jviss
Just updating this thread, 18 count is no longer available. Has anyone tried the same in 16 count, which is available?
