AR-5 Solution requested

I have a pair of AR-5 speakers that have been in storage for several years and now no longer work.
Online sources suggest that the Potentiometers have become corroded and need to be cleaned or replaced.
Even when they were new adjusting the pots has never made any difference in the sound.  Now I'm thinking
that I can bypass the pots altogethter.  Is this possible?

The short answer is, you are probably correct about the pots.  The bypass idea will not improve your speakers and will make them unbearable unless your ears are specially suited for the over-prominent mid-range sound of your modified speakers.

Are you the original owner?  Can you supply photos with grills off?
