AR Receiver Repair

Recommended Posts

Sorry it this is off topic.   I have an AR model R receiver.  I bought it used in 1978 and had a lot of great years with it!   It broke down a couple of times and after the last time, I set it aside (for about 15+ years).  Now that I've got a couple of sets of AR speakers, I'd like to have someone go right thru it.  What's my options here?  Thanks!

Hey Charlie

I've owned 2 AR amps and an AR receiver. I had them all serviced by Tim at Bristol Electronics in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ (201) 447-4299. He's an authorized service center for McIntosh, NAD, Arcam and others. Very skilled, very honest. I have taken close to 100 vintage pieces to him over the past 8 years and recommend him most highly.
