bdmcn71
Do you fine folks suggest full open? Or mids, halfway; Hi 3/4? Would it cause wear on the speakers at full on? I don’t listen to my music at high volumes. I’m curious to know what others do. Thanks

bdmcn71
Of course. Just looking for some insight and others experiences. Like, would having them wide open diminish the bass? Or does keeping the mids at half make the bass more pronounced?

Thanks The response of AR-3 mids and tweeters is quite variable and often degraded today. In fact, it is not unusual for the level controls' "full on" position to not provide enough output for either driver, though it won't hurt anything to set them at that position. Consequently, it is very unlikely any responses to your question will provide much insight relative to your pair of speakers. Roy
bdmcn71
Thanks Roy. My speakers have been recapped and restored. The sound is clear and brilliant and varies much when adjusting the pots. They are, however, all original parts.
