ironlake
I took out the woofers that had the simply speakers dope on the cloth surround and cut out the cloth with a one edged razor blade. Then installed foam surrounds and yes it made a difference in sound. Bass now goes deep and is not boomy like it was. Much smoother sounding speaker. I would guess they must be very close to original sound now. I put the fm tuner on a local rock station with tons of bass and let them run all day while not home to loosen up the foam and now I am back to classical mn public radio. Great bass on the organ music, goes deep.
