Horswispr
Does anyone have experience with any of the old contact enhancers? I have a can of generic Deoxit here, and it does a good job of cleaning up the insides of old components. I also use it on contacts sometimes. Recently, I found a little bottle of Cramolin Red (two-thirds full) that I must have gotten back in the '80s. The blue stuff must be around here somewhere as well. I used some of the Cramolin red on some of my connections (CD to pre and pre to power amp, as well as banana plug to Time Window speakers) that hadn't been cleaned in years, and I could swear a slight improvement in clarity. Am I falling victim to the same audio voodoo I usually laugh at? What's the stuff supposed to do anyway?
