Now she needs a pair of speakers. She's a complete noob and I'd not recommend a pair of AR speakers unless it is fully-restored with no issues for a long while. Her budget is $500 max. michiganpat Posted January 5, 2012 Report Share Posted January 5, 2012 for that much or less, you should be able to find some AR11's, 91, 92,93,94,58s, 58B, 98LS/LSi, TSW610 maybe even AR90's and 3a's the 98LS/LSi intregues me, as it's a 9LSi without the internal subwoofer...newer AR speakers that are too new to need to be restored, 303, 303a, 302 and the HO/Hi Res series (I love my 312HO's for music and home theater)tell her to watch craigslist....I'm sure there's members in the area that would help her out with evaluating or maybe even restoring.
