rrcrain
After 30 plus years of ownership, I'm finally replacing the grill cloth on my AR90s. Age, dust, grime and pets have taken their toll and new material is warranted. My question is simple. How the heck does one remove the AR badge without damaging it? rrcrain
Here's what I came up with for the lack of a better idea. I purchased 2 6-63 flat head screws and super glued them to the back of the badges. This gave a perfect fit into the hole and I didn't even need to install the nut on the screw. danajohnhill
Perhaps yours don't work this way, but on my 3as I just have to twirl the badge counter clockwise.
rrcrain
These were held on with speed nuts on a plastic post. All the twisting accomplished was to cut the post.
DON
These were held on with speed nuts on a plastic post. All the twisting accomplished was to cut the post. Some badges are attached with a very small brass screw and some are glued on. I've removed the glued on badges with a kitchen knife with a rounded end commonly calls a case knife.
