dbphd
I suspect this has been addressed elsewhere, and if so can someone please direct me to it. The pots on the AR3a speakers I've owned since new were discontinuous last time I tried them -- they have been sitting in my dressing area for years. I'd like to bring up the system I used as a post doc that included a pair of AR3a speakers, a Marantz Model 18 receiver, and an AR turntable with Shure V15 Mk II cartridge. All of these are in my dressing area and closet. Is there a way to clean the pots without removing them from the cabinet? Is there anyone in the Santa Barbara or LA area who might rehab the ARs?db
Carlspeak
Visit the link below and download the AR3a restoration document. Check out pp 13 & 14 which cover bad pots and the ways to deal with them.http://www.classicspeakerpages.net/library...ring_the_ar-3a/
Shacky
And you will have to open the cabinet by removing woofers. That will be a killer setup once you get everything back together.
