ALLISON: ONES on eBay

Hello Allison-philes:

These Allison: Ones are very low-hour speakers that still have their original surrounds (still in excellent condition). This speaker pair has been stored in an air-conditioned space for nearly fifteen years, in their original shipping cartons, so there are low hours-of-use on them; they were purchased in late 1986 and they are among the last pair manufactured at the Natick plant before discontinuance. I was actually informed by the sales manager, a friend, that they *were* the final pair, but I have no way of validating this obscure detail. In any event, these are fine examples of this superb loudspeaker.

The way I see it, there's about...... one person on this planet that could yank this stuff out of a closet (mint) after all these years. Nice touch Tom.

Thanks! Well, I really hate to part with them -- and they may not ultimately sell -- but unfortunately I don't have a place to put them. Someone else should be able to enjoy them. I was amazed at how good they looked when I jerked them out of the AR storage room. Of course, what wouldn't if stored in conditioned space.
