Guest Pixel Eater Posted November 22, 2006 Report Share Posted November 22, 2006 I made the mistake of forgetting to check if a pair of Large Advent woofers had square or round magnets on eBay. I bought round, but I own New Advents which had square magnets. I'm going for the stacked Advent power and am guessing these woofers have at least some different tonal qualities. Sorry.Is the frame around the surround (in front) round or pincushion (pincushion describes the shape; round except for where the mounting holes are where the frame bulges out a little.If they are pincushion, the woofers are pretty close to the New Advent square magnet woofers and will probably work fine.The round frame models are probably further away sound-wise but I don't really know.
