Guest rickcee Posted October 18, 2001 Report Share Posted October 18, 2001 Hi I have the AR 302 spks (new last year ) which use same mid & high freq - the sound is . . . AR ! Not as bright as some speakers , but everything is 'there ' maybe a little treble boost and of course bass is very clean and solid . Also just to point out the bass speakers now have real rubber surrounds instead of the cheezy foam.(me thinks). And I was a little disappointed with the quality of veneer finish (real cherry ) bland, no grain highlight, but anyway Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest rickcee Posted October 20, 2001 Report Share Posted October 20, 2001 Hi sorry I should have mentioned - elsewhere on this site there is a list of about 25 magazine reviews of older spks. that might be of interest -makes checking out microfilm at library easier - for example, the AR 303 test from stereo review - June 95. This list of selected speaker tests is in the "classic speaker pages . . " section 'contributions from . . .' lawyers prevented putting the actual reviews on site.
