I have found this electric scheme in the site:

www.fisherdoctor.com/advents.html

if it doesn't contain errors it is really a beautiful job.

Thanks Roberto.

I downloaded the file and looked it over.

I see "Filter Bypass" switch S1 in the amplifier portion.

Is this the "Norman - Special" switch on the back of the PALs?

If it is, that might be why I didn't notice any difference when I used it on my newly acquired PALs that need re-foaming (this weekend's project - I hope).

Hi, Mike

I am happy to have helped you.

About the key S1, I believe that you are right, but I cannot be sure because unfortunately I don't have the fantastic PAL

good job and good listening!

Roberto.

hi, Mike

an appendix:

Perhaps the effect of the key is not so evident, because it only introduces a passive near subsonic filter.

The perception of a such vanished effect depends a lot on what we are listening.

excuse me for my English.

Hi Roberto;

I've re-foamed the PALs and enjoy listening to them!

You are right, the key (switch) is for a sub-sonic filter (15 or 16Hz), 'special' = OFF (no filter).

I found this information from the website you posted.

Thank you!

Best regards.

Mike

You don't have to excuse your english, Roberto.

You are trying, I certainly don't have any problem understanding you.

I'm Scottish, Irish and English and born in Vancouver BC Canada.

If I was just Scottish, born in Scotland, then some people might say, I would sound like I have porridge in my mouth when I talk.

You are a helpful contributor to this site, and I look forward to reading your future contributions, Roberto.

Thank you.

Hi Vern,

I am very happy about the confirmation to be understood, because to write two lines I employ a heap of time!

I take advantage of the occasion to thank all those that participate in this forum beginning from Mark that with his idea has allowed the continuation of a great pleasure.

I'm ending to restore two pair of 5012, I want to form a system Double Advent "5012", naturally connected in parallel as the system of Russwollman.

Roberto.
