Guest kevemaher
Does anyone know what the coil inductance is for both the old and newer versions of the AR-2AX?I am planning a new first order crossover using an Usher 9930 tweeeter in place of the stock mid and tweeter and need to know the low pass crossover frequency for the woofer so that I can decide on the tweeter capacitor. Thanks,Kevin
RoyC
The early 2ax has a 1.187mh (#5) woofer inductor, and the later version has a 1.88mh (#7) inductor. Roy
Guest kevemaher
Thanks Roy,Do you also know what the woofer self-inductance is? This is the so-called Le parameter. I am thinking of trying a Zobel network to flatten the woofer impedance above resonance so I can use an Usher tweeter with a simple RC Butterworth HPF. Crossover would be somewhere between 1.4 and 2.4 KHz. The AR mid and tweeter would be disconnected.Kevin
