I have inherited the above set of perfect speakers from my Dad.

They are spectacular in condition and sound amazing (he had the woofers replaced and I recently had the tweeters replaced)

Can anyone here tell me:

A) What is the freq response of these AR5s?

B) What is their impedence?

THANKS for the info !!

Hi there;

An excellent classic AR speaker, just a small knotch below the AR-3A.

What type woofers were they replaced with?

When were they replaced?

Why were they replaced?

What type tweeters were used in the replacements?

When were the tweeters replaced?

Why were the tweeters replaced?

Is the crossover original?

I have a pair of those also, and I love them.

I seem to recall seeing the original test report on these either in Stereo Review or Hi Fidelity, showing them being +- 3 db from about 48 Hz up to about 14,500 Hz. They roll off about there, but I don't remember how fast.

However, since you have replaced woofers and tweeters, God knows what the frequency response would be now. Were they replaced with original AR parts, or something else?

They are 8 ohm impedance, nominal.
