pmsummer
I just wanted to post a picture of the capacitor block I found inside my AR-2ax speakers.
Carlspeak
>I just wanted to post a picture of the capacitor block I>found inside my AR-2ax speakers.I presume that's a milk carton and therefore conclude the previous owner may have lived in Wisconson perhaps? This idea may be applicable to the Ohmite exposed pot problem. Bury the pot inside the carton with the adjustment stem punched out thru the bottom and the wire leads poking out the top.Aaah, one problem though - twin pot speakers would be a problem mounting two close together.Remember, it's all about the musicCarlCarl's Custom Loudspeakers
dynaco_dan
Hi there;I am not sure if you are joking or not.A true joke would be expected April 1st.I have come across a few strange situations. This would not surprise me at all.
pmsummer
Yes, I'm joking. The idea came up when discussing rebuilding a 2ax to collector's condition. Tack the milk carton to the back board, place the caps in the milk carton, fill with melted parafin. There you have it! Back to original configuration!
