Guest vetter345
i have a full Acoustic Research ar1 ar15 and center channel soundstage with older carver amplifiers---some i am no longer using if interested..my problem is that the AR1's have lost (blown)their tweeters again, i think i know why now...55-11-014-1 is the number on the back of the magnet and 5-11-014-1 on the other...Where can i get another pair or any replacements that are better? can i replace the diaphram or the whole tweeter with another brand? does anyone know who made these particular tweeters or the specs? thanks in advance for your help..this is driving me mad and i would rather not sell the lot for something else but it has crossed my mind...it has happened twice so far...Please let me know....Thanks, Dave vetter345@aol.com

frankmarsi
If its the tweeters I think they are, they're made by Altec for the AR-1.Constantly check EBay as they have every once in a while your speakers, in fact there's a pair there presently.Good Luck.frankmarsi@verizon.net

mluong303
Are the tweeters on your AR1 speakers look like the attached picture? They are Plasma Transferred Diamond Hardened 1" Titanium dome tweeters.I would say try AB Tech Services. Here is their web site.http://www.abtechservices.com/pages/2/page...h=1134188465692Minh Luong
