Guest jcmjrt
I just acquired a set of AR speakers. There's a partial tag left on one of them and I can make out that it's an AR4 but it might be AR4x or AR4xa. The serial number on that one is 393045. How can I tell which AR4 this is/what are the differences? Also, the pots on the back are crunchy. I'm thinking deoxit but was wondering what the usual is with these guys?I'm figuring that they probably need a recap. Any general words of wisdom - brands that work best, tweaks? Thanks. RoyC
I believe the 4x serial number will begin with "FX" followed by the numbers.Roy
