ChufordH Posted August 17, 2021 Report Share Posted August 17, 2021 I’m trying to find out if a crossover unit from an Advent A series would be compatible with an Advent U series speaker. The U series is from 1974 I believe and has the Masonite ring mount around the woofer. I’m not sure what year the A series crossover is but I believe it to be the same era. ChufordH Posted August 18, 2021 Author Report Share Posted August 18, 2021 Thanks Doug, I don’t think it is compatible. I compared photos of the A units and they don’t look the same as mine. I have no way of knowing if they came out of a speaker with a Masonite ring. I will say that the crossover back plate is the same but it does not say “Designed by Henry Kloss”.
