Acoustic Research cabinet re-finishing

Please read and head.

I've been very frustrated trying to scan and copy this one sheet for you viewers.

I was successful last week with 1 headphone schematic, 4 bias drawings and 2 tuner sheets.

When I did this one only sheet, I've had nothing but a pain in the old woofer.

I invited a friend I've known for eons, who is much more computer literate that I, to visit and see what I had done wrong.

Well, he had the same problem.

It takes more than a little problem to keep me down, so, I did what I have done here before.

Now follow me if you will.

I went to look at what I had written and saved. Ok so far.

I next scrolled down to the file and moused it. squeek.

Anyways it loaded up in very large type size and then settled down to the left of the screen impossible to read initially.

You then click your mouse on the upper left arrow in the pretty box at the lower right corner of the garbled picture. Ok still.

Up pops a very large type size, much too large to read without scrolling up or down left or right. Ok so far.

Now mouse up at the top left and mouse on the floppy icon and save this picture to a spot on your hard drive where you won't lose it. It may have a name already such as 272.jpg. Ok still.

Now if you go back to your computer and print out this file it should be ok.

Now go back to Arsenal again and email that file to yourself.

Go back to your computer to open up the email attachment which is that file again.

Now print that file out. Ok still.

Now finally go back to Arsenal for the last time and go to that file again and mouse the printer icon and you will, as I and my friend saw, a 1/2 page of large type size and it's cut off on the right side. Ok still.

This has been very frustrating and time consuming but to make a long story short, don't send this particular picture from the Asenal printer icon directly to your printer.

I will try another scan and copy another night.

Mark if you read this, coincidently, my other files were copied prior to Sunday evening when I wasn't able to get on this site as there seemed to be a technical problem. I haven't seen anything mentioned by any one else but after that I started having the difficulties.

Perhaps a virus or worm or ? is or was in this system.

I think I've explained enough for tonight.

If someone can be sure Mark reads this maybe a solution can be found.

Another thought just came to mind as I went to view the headphone schematic just now.

I just said in the previous write up, the picture is so large on screen, that you would have to scroll, up or down, left or right, to read all of it.

There seems to be a problem with that as well.

If you go and look at the headphone schematic you don't need to scroll at all.

Hello Mark, where are you?

Hi Vern,

I don't read every discussion in the forums anymore, I just stumbled across this one.

If you want something posted that isn't already in the library, send it to me (webmaster@arsenal.net) as an email attachment and I'll put it in the appropriate area. I agree, attaching files in the discussion forums isn't perfect.

Mark
