Guest LOVEAR
What should I use to "bridge" the woofers/upper driver terminals on my AR9's? It looks like a paper clip-type wire is being used currently, and I imagine the quality of these connections is relatively important. I am not bi-amping, so any suggestions on what I can use? ar_pro
Try a short (2") length of 12 gauge wire, with a spade soldered on each end.
Guest Nigel
Other options:1) .060" brass sheet stock, cut to shape, annealed, cleaned and solder plated. Run the wires from the amp to the hi inputs, to minimize the possible high frequency issues with the plates - will have no effect below 1KHz.2) bi-wire, run seperate 12 guage wire pairs from you amp to the low and hi ranges. This will minimize the effects of the woofers' kick back on the other drivers.
