The situation is I need a pair of replacement tweeters for my AR 18S speakers. Since the originals are no longer available, (and I'm assuming they can't be rebuilt), does anyone know what might serve as a good replacement? Or does any one know the specifications for these tweeters? It looks like they were used on quite a few of the Teledyne models. I really like using these for nearfield tracking and playback in my studio, and I should have fused them (as per the instructions found in the manual), but I didn't. ninohernes Posted March 11, 2004 Report Share Posted March 11, 2004 I use AR speakers for nearfeild monitoring in my studio too. I have never blown a driver before. How much power are you using? For the 18's that you have, I wouldent go over 100 watts per channel of clean power. I use 125 watts per channel with my AR-2's with no problem.
