Max RMS handling for AR9's?

I know many people have run these speakers between 400-500 watts RMS, but has anybody taken these north of those numbers, up closer to 1000w RMS?

I'd be curious about bi-amping numbers, but mostly looking for anybody who has ran them passively with the jumpers in place.

With the much smaller AR10pi, I was able to clip my Dunlap-Clark 1000 @ 500watts / channel rms easily. 1000 watt peaks are not unheard of as long as the power is clean and brief. Those rare uncompressed recordings containing brief transients like piano can drive large amplifiers into clipping without sounding very "loud" at all. Also, the difference between 500 watts and 1000 watts is only 3db....an audible increase but not a huge sonic increase.
