ninohernes
In another post, Tom Tyson stated: "Henry Kloss left AR in 1957, I think, just before the AR-2 was released for production. In fact, the AR-2 had a serious problem with the woofer wanting to "walk" out of the gap" What does this mean? I have AR-2's and I haven't had any problems with them. I drive them with a 60 watt per channel hafler, I have driven them hard too, until the clip lights come on, and I still don't have any issues. Mabye its happening and I don't know it. The woofers in my 2's are the Alnico type, the magnets look exactly like the magnets in the 3's, just a bit smaller. Joe
Steve F
This was a problem with the AR-2 woofer while it was under development. The problem was corrected before the unit went into production. No production AR-2 variants exhibited this behavior.Steve F.
