RobHolt Posted June 26, 2008 Report Share Posted June 26, 2008 Hi guys, first post here but I wanted to share my good news :0Picked up a pair of AR8s the other day for $50 and have been quite shocked and just how live and 'real' these things sound compared to the dozens of small plastic coned monitors that I've experienced over the past 25 years.The surrounds were intact which must be unusual for a speaker this old and they lasted long enough before starting to crumble for me to establish that I really like these a lot.These are the version of the AR8 with 8" main driver.I'm getting the drivers re-foamed at Wembley Louspeakers next week.Anyone else use these?
