Guest Posted July 25, 2002 Report Share Posted July 25, 2002 Just found a set of AR TSW 510s at the Goodwill. They looked mint so I took the chance, paid the $100.00 and brought them home. Plugged them into my bedroom system - an old Thorens turntable running into a mid 70s Marantz 40 WPC receiver. I haven't been able to leave the bedroom since! They sound wonderful! I've got mega watts of power running through my Thiels in the front room, but when I want to listen, I head for the bedroom and my mid 70s budget system running through the ARs. I don't know if its the ARs or some strange combination of room acoustics with just the right mid level components, but it sounds like heaven. Guest Posted July 27, 2002 Report Share Posted July 27, 2002 Hey Vince - A very pleasing combo for sure - my family room system is a mid-70's Marantz, TSW510's, Thorens TD160 (etc).
