Guest
K. Here is my situation. I was cleaning out the attic and found some AR-11's. I was going to toss them until I realized they were AR's. So my question is this. The foam around the woofers is rotted out, the cabinets are scratched up on top, and I'm guessing teh caps need replacing. Should I take the time/money to restore them? were these really good speakers to start with? Or, how much are they worth in there current condition? I don't really need any more speakers, but if these will sound better than my kenwoods I'm interested. Any information about AR-11's would be appreciated.Allen
Guest rickcee
Hi i ' d be willing to bet ( a little ) he AR 's would please you , compared to kenwoods ( assuming good electronics ) IF the cabinets are in repairable shape finish wise . . . The bass speakers can easily be sent out , a couple companies adv. here. The AR 11 were top quality spks back then (late '70 's ? ) and would still be considered top Q. anyway, enjoy Rick
