Hello everybody and happy new year.

Browsing on the net, I found this site:

http://www.roger-russell.com/mysound/mysound.htm

where is stated that Mr. Victor Brociner, co-founder of Fisher Audio before WWII, then in mid fifties leaved the Fisher company, established his own company bearing his own name, then became President of HH Scott, to be at the end founder of AVID.

Any more news about this gentleman, who seems to be one of great names in HIFI, like Saul Marantz or Avery Fisher, but never remembered enough?

Thanx to all able to contribute.

Dario

Oh yeah, I remember his name being somewhat revered back in the day, probably in relation to the Scott speakers of the sixties or early seventies. Seems to me he died in the seventies, "at the end" as you put it. I think his name was invoked in order to give the Avid name some credibility at its outset.

On further thought, I think I learned of his death while looking online at an old issue of the Boston Audio Society newsletter.
