Wanted KLH Model 6 tweeters

I just recently purchased a pair of KLH model 6 speakers and connected them to my amp to see how they sound. Well, both tweeters are blown. The woofers are fine. I removed the tweeters and checked them with my ohm meter and they are open. I connected another speaker to the tweeter connections and they played.

Does anyone have a set for sale or know where I can purchase a set. I only paid $26.00 for the pair so hopefully I can find a set priced reasonably.

Parts express has a 4" tweeter for about $5.00 each, I might go that route until I find the correct ones.

PS: I have the later version of the model 6 so I can easily remove the woofer and tweeter with screws.

Actually ebay is about the best way to buy original KLH tweeters.

Hi Vern,

I checked eBay and as of now, no tweeters for the KLH 6's. I will check eBay weekly and hopefully a set would be available.

My next question is did anyone ever replace the tweeters with another different set and if so, what kind did you use.
