Guest
I've had my AR 98LS speakers for nearly 20 years and have powered them with the same 100W Pioneer Amp the entire time. I recently had them re-foamed and they still sound great. My question arises due to the fact that I want to power some new outdoor speakers as well. My amp has a switch to set up depending on the ohm ratings of speaker set A and speaker set B. Any info/suggestions would be appreciated.
Guest
Spanky;According to info on this site:http://www.arsenal.net/speakers/ar/arslbx.txtthey are 4 ohm, nominal. They are quite a challenge for your Pioneer amp at moderate of higher levels. I would stongly recommend AGAINST driving additional speakers to your amplifier at the same time as your '98s.Nigel
