Quick SACD Funny

Good forum folk -

I've written a lot about how the outboard re-clocker / jitter reducer connected to a quality DAC have substantially improved all the CD players I have attached them to, but how SACD straight out of inexpensive players has been even better - much to my surprise.

So I've been doing a lot of "window shopping" for SACD titles.

As might be expected, much of what is available is symphonic music, and there is a fair selection of Jazz. There are fewer Pop/Rock titles. I've enjoyed listening to Clapton in SACD (it's really startlingly good if you like Clapton), and The Zombies remastered for SACD might be interesting. The Blood, Sweat, and Tears is certainly worth hearing. I've been hoping for some Chicago and Yes.

But I laughed when I saw that one of the currently available SACDs, lovingly captured in DSD/SACD enabling the listener to catch the full fidelity of the event and catch every nuance of the performance, is a live recording of Ozzfest 2002. It features Rob Zombie! Live! :+

Who makes these decisions?
