Then something came my way, an old timer three blocks from me had a yard sale...there sat a H H Scott 340 A receiver, fully serviced two years prior....$50 and it was mine. I suppose that you should make sure that their mods are not intended to make these classics sound better with modern speakers only, thereby reducing their system match with speaker designs of the 1960s.
