Guest NewVintageNut
I recently got some EPI 100's with real walnut veneer, good looking speakers. The foam on the woofers is shot but that's no problem. I hooked them up to make sure all the drivers were playing and nothign was blown. To my suprise both tweeters were dead. Upon further inspection the reason the tweeters don't work is that the magnet has fallen off the back of the tweeter. What's the best way to fix this?TIA,Bryan
Guest saea501
You can try to reglue them but maintaining voice coil/magnet alignment is very critical. I would just send them to Huw Powell at Humanspeakers and let him renew them. What you will get back will be a new, well made tweeter of new design. Huw makes the EPI/Genesis tweeter that would have been coming out of the companies had they continued in business.www.humanspeakers.com
