Guest krimney
I just came across this site today in my search for some Allison tweeters. I have a pair of model 2 but two of the tweeters are not working. I know I can get them from Allison, but at 65.00 each plus shipping plus exchange it is too costly for me. Are these available very often in the used market? Are there any good substitutes from other vintage speakers?
Guest grog
I wouldn't be so sure about even getting those replacements from Allison. Their phones don't work. Their emails either go unanswered or bounce back almost immediately. Poke around elsewhere in here and you'll see that the most recent incarnation of the company has been purchased by I'm guessing a venture capitalist and although David earlier in the year stated that production was continuing, the crickets chirping from that neck of the woods doesn't bode well for getting replacement parts.Layne Audio (google em) sells after market replacement parts for Allisons. I have no idea of the pricing. You'd need to call.scott
