I'm trying to find information on the Advent/9, which seems to be some kind of anomaly in the world of classic speakers. Almost nobody has heard of them, and I'm afraid to hook them up to my Yamaha RX1100U without knowing the ohm rating.. because well, the Yammy is a ridiculous powerhouse. I also have a Pioneer SX-3000 and a Marantz 2200B, but I don't know if I want to step back in time quite that badly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest slownlo Posted October 7, 2007 Report Share Posted October 7, 2007 I really woudln't worry about the Yamaha hurting them...The impedance of the speaker is more a note for the amp to be used,.... some amps have trouble driving low impedance loads...and keep in mind that "clean" power isn't normally the cause of speaker damage...
